Applications are invited for two young research scientists to work on the development and application of bioinformatics/biostatistical methodologies for analyzing biological data
in the context of cardiovascular precision medicine. Posts, funded for 24 months in the first instance, are available at the Bordeaux Public Health Center (INSERM UMR_S 1219;https://www.bordeaux-population-health.center/),
a unique research center gathering about 250 scientists with outstanding records in epidemiology, biostatistics, data integration and pharmacology.
The main responsibility of the post-holders will be to aply and further develop systems medicine approaches to identify biomarker signature for the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Multi-omics data, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, methylome, from epidemiological cohort and cellular/animal models are available.
The vacant posts are at Research Associate (Post-Doc) level but suitably qualified individuals without a PhD are also encouraged to aply.
The post-holders will have relevant experience in bioinformatics/statistical analysis of multi-diemensional data or machine learning or
next generation sequencing analysis, a sound understanding of scripting using R or other programming language in relation to very large datasets.
The post-holders should demonstrate strong abilities to work independently while capable of liasing on a regular basis with researchers
